Scrapster is the Capital Regions premier LOW COST and NO COST scrap metal pickup and recycling service. We cover a 50 mile radius around our headquarters in Watervliet, NY, including Bennington, VT and western Massachusetts. Quality same day service when needed, convenient and reliable.
Everything is properly recycled, disposed of or donated. We can provide Proof of (General Liability) Insurance and Workers Compensation when required on your project.
What types of metal do we take?: Steel, tin (thinner gauge steel), cast iron, galvanized, copper, brass, copper/brass mix, stainless steel, aluminum (cast, sheet and extruded), copper or aluminum wire, lead, transformers, batteries and aluminum/steel mix.
Some examples of items we pick up on a daily basis are: appliances (*see details below), pipe, lawn tractor, lawn mower, snowblower, weed whacker, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, car and truck parts, small or large motor/engine, bicycle, child bike, radiator, baseboard heating, fencing, gutters and siding, shed (fee may apply), angle iron, I-beams, roofing, outdoor grills, yard and shop tools, cans, etc. PLUS computers, printers, copy machines and computer monitors. We also can take away old car and truck batteries, large or small.
Standard appliances include: gas and electric water heater, boiler, gas or electric heater or range/stove, pool heater, furnace, refrigerator, freezer, cooler, any size vending machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, dryer, washer/dryer combo unit, air conditioner, central air conditioning condenser, humidifier/dehumidifier, etc. In addition we can take any corded household appliance, large or small...lamp, light, vacuum cleaner, clothes iron, stereo equipment (see below), etc.
Other Scrapster services include:
* Low Cost Junk Removal: any furniture (including mattresses), rugs, flooring, C&D related items, all common household items, clothes, toys, boxed items, garbage bags, etc.
* Electronics Removal: We are a registered New York State DEC collection site and can take any stereo system components, record player, jukebox, VCR, DVD or Blu Ray player, amplifier, sound mixer, large or small copier, computer and all related components (printers, cables, keyboard, mice).
